Ampliflare Audio is free for personal use and needs a license for commercial use. It comes with no warranty. These terms say what that means.
The Ampliflare Audio app you download from this site is free for personal use, up to 20 files a week. Using it for work needs a license, which you buy at a price you pick. The source code is AGPL licensed, and a build you make from it is free for any use. It comes with no warranty. It is maintained by one person, and you run it at your own risk. Keep backups of anything you care about.
Without a license you may use Ampliflare Audio for personal, non-commercial work, such as your own recordings and hobby projects, up to 20 files a week.
Commercial use needs a license. That covers work for clients, work done as part of a job, and audio for anything that earns money, such as a paid podcast, a monetised channel or a product. A license also removes the weekly limit. Each license works on a set number of computers, and you may move it between them. See personal and commercial use for how it works.
These terms cover the prebuilt binaries: the apps, installers and packages published on this site, on GitHub and through in-app updates.
Licenses are sold by Dodo Payments, who are the merchant of record and handle payment, tax and receipts. Prices are in US dollars, with tax worked out at checkout.
The source code is licensed under the GNU Affero General Public License, version 3. You may build it and run your build for any purpose, commercial use included, without a license key. If you share a changed version, the AGPL says how. That licence, not these terms, covers what you build yourself.
The software is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including the warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. To the extent permitted by law, no contributor is liable for any damages arising from the use or inability to use the software, including loss of data.
Services the app connects to have their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not a party to your use of them. If you got Ampliflare Audio from an app store or package repository, that distributor's terms also cover the download itself.
Support is best-effort and public: open an issue on the issue tracker. There is no service level, response time or guarantee that any particular bug is fixed or any feature built.
These terms may change. The date at the top of the page is the version in force, and continuing to use Ampliflare Audio after a change means accepting it. To the extent these terms are enforceable alongside the licence, they are governed by the laws of India.
