Personal and commercial use
Ampliflare Audio is free for personal use, up to 20 files a week. A license, at a price you pick, lets you use it for work with no limit.
Every tool is the same with or without a license. The only difference is how much you can do in a week, and whether you may use it for work.
These terms are for the apps you download from this site. The source code is AGPL licensed and can be built and run for free, for both personal and commercial use. See Building from source.
Free, for personal use
Section titled “Free, for personal use”Use it for your own recordings, podcasts you make for fun, family videos and anything else that is not paid work. You can process 20 files a week. One file through one tool counts as one, however many files come out of it, so splitting a recording into four parts still counts once.
The week starts with your first file and lasts seven days. The app shows how many you have left at the bottom of the sidebar, and when the count goes back to zero. Files that fail are not counted.
A license, for commercial use
Section titled “A license, for commercial use”A license lets you use Ampliflare Audio for work: client projects, a podcast or channel that earns money, audio for a product, or anything done as part of a job. It also removes the weekly limit.
For now you pay what you can, from $5. That is a launch offer, for a limited time. Prices are in US dollars, and tax is worked out at checkout. Buy a license
Adding your key
Section titled “Adding your key”- Buy a license. Your key comes after payment.
- In the app, click Personal use at the bottom of the sidebar.
- Paste the key and click Activate.
The sidebar then says Commercial license. The app checks the key with Dodo Payments, who handle the checkout, when you activate it and each time the app opens. If you are offline, it keeps working with the last answer.
Moving to another computer
Section titled “Moving to another computer”A key works on a set number of computers. To move it, open Commercial license in the sidebar on the old computer and click Remove from This Computer, then activate it on the new one.
Building from source
Section titled “Building from source”The source code is under the GNU AGPL, version 3. You may build it and run your build for anything, work included. A build you make yourself has no weekly limit and asks for no key. If you share a changed version, the AGPL asks you to share your changes under the same terms.
Buying a license is what pays for the work, and it gets you the signed, ready-made app with updates.
