Known limitations

The rough edges in Ampliflare Audio 1.0, and what to do about each one until it is fixed. Most have a simple workaround, and all are on the list.

These are the rough edges I know about in 1.0. Most have a workaround, and all are on the list to fix.

  • ffmpeg is a separate install. The app does not bring its own copy yet. Getting started has the one line for each system.
  • Remove noise is tuned for speech. It works best on voices: interviews, podcasts, lectures and calls. On music it can take out more than you want, so try a lower Strength.
  • Cut and Split work on one file at a time. Pick the file in the list, mark it, and run. The other tools take the whole list.
  • The Windows files are not code-signed. SmartScreen asks you to confirm the first time. Troubleshoot has the steps.
